Turkish company Baykar will give Ukraine three Bayraktar TB2 drones for free

The Turkish company Baykar has announced that it will donate three Bayraktar TB2 strike drones to Ukraine. This was reported on the company’s Twitter.

Earlier, on June 22, the charitable foundation of the Ukrainian showman and volunteer Serhiy Prytula began raising funds for drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine . In three days, Ukrainians collected 600 million hryvnias, but Baykar decided to donate the drones for free.

“In return, we ask that the collected funds be used to help the people of Ukraine in their struggle. We are touched by their solidarity and determination in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges,” the Turkish company said in a statement.

Prior to this, Baykar had already stated that it would give Ukraine a Bayraktar TB2 drone free of charge, for which Lithuanians raised money. The Minister of Defense of Lithuania noted that the necessary ammunition for Bayraktar will be bought with the money raised, the rest of the funds will also go to support Ukraine.

The initiator of the collection in Lithuania was the journalist Andrius Tapinas. It was necessary to collect 5 million euros, it was done in three days.
