Five weapons that can help Russia to defeat Ukraine

The famous American magazine The National Interest has named five weapons that will help Russia quickly win in the event of a conflict with Ukraine.

Expert Mark Episkopos of The National Interest magazine has named five weapons that will help Russia quickly win over Ukraine in the event of war with this country.

He noted that Kiev will not be able to bypass the Russian missile defense system. He reiterated that the S-400 Triumph air defense system, located in Crimea, could pose a serious threat to military facilities in eastern and central Ukraine. This Russian system is capable of attacking drones, aircraft and missiles within a radius of 400 km.According to this expert, the escalation of conflict in southeastern Ukraine could lead to a war with Russia. However, the Russian military has the superiority of air force and missile defense, which will cause a lot of problems for the Ukrainian armed forces.

Standing in front of two on this list is the Su-35S fighter. This aircraft is equipped with air-to-ground missiles and guided bombs. According to this expert, Ukraine will not be able to fight Russia due to the backwardness of this country’s aviation.

Mr. Episkopos believes that, in the event of a conflict, Russia will use the BMP-3M infantry fighting vehicle. If there was a conflict with Ukraine, he said, battles would take place in urban environments and mobile infantry fighting vehicles would have a significant advantage over tanks.

In addition, the main battle tank of Russia will be the T-90M. Remember, Russia ranks first in the world in terms of the number of combat tanks in use. Mr. Episkopos said that the Ukrainian army also has a T-84 Oplot tank, but this type of tank is not strong enough against the Russian tank army.

Last on this list is the 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled gun. This weapon is now equipped with advanced targeting technology and can fire up to 8 shots per minute.

Before that, since February 2021, the situation in eastern Ukraine was getting worse and worse. Ukrainian military raids and shelling on settlements in Donetsk and Lugansk have become more frequent. On April 3, a Ukrainian drone attack in Donbass left a child dead and a woman injured. Shortly thereafter, the international community simultaneously condemned Ukraine’s actions and called on the parties to comply with the Minsk Agreement and stop escalating the situation in the region.

Kiev has been campaigning against civilians in Donbass since 2014 because they refuse to recognize the results of the coup and the new government in Ukraine. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities accused Russia of involvement in the situation. Meanwhile, the Russian side has always insisted, they are not involved in the conflict in Donbass and Russia is not a party in the internal conflict of Ukraine.
