Russian armed forces tried to cut off the Ukrainian soldierss of Severodonetsk by crossing the Siverskyi Donets river near Belogorivka on May 11 but heavy strikes by Ukrainian troops defeat the Russians, killing over 400 soldiers and destroying numerous armored vehicles. Now the same thing happened again when Russian army unit try to crossing a drives they were again pounded by Ukrainian troops.
A new column of military equipment was destroyed while trying to force a river near Seversk. 6 kilometers from the settlement of Seversk, located on the territory of the Donetsk region, during another attempt to force the Seversky Donets River, another large convoy of military equipment was destroyed, including bridge layers, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, self-propelled artillery and tanks. The incident occurred just a few days after the unsuccessful crossing of the river 12 kilometers to the west, when more than 100 units of various types of military equipment were destroyed.
Fighting has intensified in Ukraine’s eastern territories, as Vladimir Putin’s army steps up its efforts to seize control of the Donbas. Ukrainian forces are grimly clinging on as they come under intense Russian artillery and aerial bombardment. The Russians are closing in on the city of Severedonetsk in Luhansk province and appear increasingly confident of taking the entire region under their control.
During a televised ministry meeting on Friday, Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu said: “The liberation of the Luhansk People’s Republic is nearing completion.”

On the presented video footage taken from a drone that took off from the territory of the Donetsk region, you can see a military convoy broken during the crossing. Part of the equipment was so critically damaged that it is not possible to identify it, however, among other things, experts found infantry fighting vehicles, bridge layers, self-propelled artillery, etc. In total, according to various estimates, up to 20 units of military equipment were destroyed. Judging by the fact that some of the destroyed equipment is in the water, it is likely that the losses could be much greater, since part of the military equipment could have ended up at the bottom of the river.
Judging by the craters formed on the ground, the strikes were more than likely carried out by large-caliber artillery, however, there are no other details on this yet.
However, according to some sources, it was the 30th Mechanized Brigade and other units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine that destroyed the Russian army pontoon bridge which was built to cross an entire unit of the river force a crossing of the Siverskyi Donets River near the Serebryanka.
