The Czech Republic has begun supplying Ukraine with modernized DANA M2 self-propelled guns.

A few days ago, a convoy with transported DANA M2 self-propelled artillery mounts was seen on the territory of the Czech Republic. The latter, allegedly, are intended for Ukraine within the framework of a previously concluded contract for supplying such weapons.

In the presented video footage, filmed on the territory of the Czech Republic, you can see the DANA M2 self-propelled artillery mount, already fully equipped for deliveries.

 As part of the first delivery, it is planned to transfer three self-propelled guns to Ukraine, while by the end of this year, the Czech Republic plans to fully complete its obligations under an earlier contract for the supply of 26 self-propelled guns of this type.

DANA M2 

 DANA M2 is a modernized version of the DANA self-propelled artillery system developed by the Czechoslovakian company ZTS Dubnica. The DANA M2 features an upgraded fire control system, a new turret, and a modified chassis.

 It has a 152mm cannon that can fire various ammunition, including high explosives, armor-piercing, and guided missiles. The DANA M2 ranges up to 30 kilometers, depending on the type of projectile fired.

 It has a crew of four and can reach speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour on roads. The DANA M2 is in service with the Czech Army and has also been exported to several other countries. It is considered a reliable and effective artillery system and has seen action in various conflicts worldwide.

The DANA M2 is a tracked self-propelled artillery system that is designed to provide long-range fire support to ground troops. It is based on the chassis of the T-72 tank and features a turret mounted on the rear of the vehicle. 

The turret is armed with a 152mm cannon that can be elevated and traversed manually or automatically, depending on the situation. 

The DANA M2 is equipped with a fire control system that allows the crew to aim and fire the cannon, even when moving accurately. It also has a rangefinder and a laser designator to assist with targeting.

In addition to its primary armament, the DANA M2 is also equipped with a 7.62mm machine gun for self-defense. It has a crew of four, consisting of a commander, gunner, driver, and loader. 

The DANA M2 is powered by a diesel engine that gives it a top speed of 60 kilometers per hour on roads and a range of up to 500 kilometers. It is protected by composite armor and is equipped with an NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) protection system.

Overall, the DANA M2 is a versatile and reliable self-propelled artillery system capable of providing long-range fire support to ground troops in various environments. It has proven itself in combat and is highly respected by the units that operate it.
