Ukrainian troops face heavy loss from Separatists, deployed special units to counter

The pro-Russian separatist DPR continuously shelled the Ukrainian Army’s garrison in the village of Staromaryevka, in response, Ukraine launched the TB2 UAV into the battle.

Ukrainian troops stationed near the Gorlovka area have received many attacks from the DPR militia; the villagers of Staromaryevka starting to vacate the village and will be Depopulated in the next 72 hours.

Local residents of the village of Gorlovka said that in the past few days, the positions of the Ukrainian Army near this village have been faced several shells from the militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) ostensible.

The DPR militia artillery attacks, mainly focused on the deployment sites of two tank battalions and the 95th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Army, were brought to this area about two days ago.

It is known that the positions of the Ukrainian Army were attacked with 82mm and 120mm mortars and large-caliber artillery. Since the attacks were carried out at a considerable distance, it is not possible to clarify Ukraine’s losses.

However, according to experts, the action of the Ukrainian Army stationing the troops on a relatively small area is a mistake; this is no different than putting all the “eggs in one basket”, which can lead to huge losses.

The accumulation of Ukrainian troops in a narrow area does not exclude the possibility that DPR units may attempt to launch a rapid attack, using multiple rocket launcher systems (MRLS) and possibly destroy all Ukrainian military units stationed here.

According to some information, the attacks of the DPR militia on the positions of the Ukrainian Army are combat actions aimed at stopping, attrition and retaliation for the attacks of the Ukrainian side on Horlivka; But it can be seen that the DPR militia is actively fighting to prepare for a big war with the Ukrainian Army.

Meanwhile, according to information provided by the volunteers of the DPR, units of the Ukrainian Army, who captured the village of Staromaryevka a week ago, have now withdrawn from the area.

There are currently no units of the Ukrainian army in the village of Staromaryevka; These units are located partly on the eastern bank of the Kalmius River, but outside the settlement, close to the pontoon bridge built by Ukrainian engineering units, which the DPR militia has just destroyed with artillery fire.

According to preliminary information, residents of the village of Staromaryevka have 72 hours to leave the settlement in an east or west direction; This may indicate that large forces of the Ukrainian Army will be deployed in the region in the upcoming days..

“There is no Ukrainian Army in the village, nor are there any OSCE observers, or Red Cross and UN volunteers. I don’t know where the information came from that the residents of Staromaryevka only had three days to evacuate, but they brought their livestock and household items and have already started leaving the village,” Donetsk volunteer Andrei Lysenko commented on the situation.

No one has predicted what the situation in the region will be in the next few days, but the evacuation indicates that, possibly in the next few hours, the situation in the south of the self-proclaimed Donetsk Republic will become very serious. especially with the deployment of large forces of the Ukrainian Army on the west bank of the Kalmius River.

Amid the escalation of hostilities in Eastern Ukraine, for the first time in many years, artillery attacks by the Ukrainian Army have spread to the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) and its vicinity.

According to Russian media reports, citing the LPR, the Ukrainian offensive is being started from the Petropavlovka residential area. At the same time, according to data at 15:45 on November 5 (local time), units of the Ukrainian Army inflicted at least 8 attacks with 82mm mortars.

Currently, it is known that the attack on Luhansk and the areas surrounding the capital of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic was a surprise. According to preliminary information, no one was injured in the attack; but destroyed several residential buildings

In response to the attack of the Ukrainian Army, retaliatory attacks were carried out on the artillery positions of the Ukrainian army, as a result of which Ukrainian artillery fire from this direction was stopped.

The regional press recently published information that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had secretly dispatched the 95th Airborne Amphibious Brigade to Gorlovka, where fierce fighting was taking place.

According to sources except elite parachute brigade, at least two tank battalions have also been deployed here (consisting of 61 modernized T-64 and T-72 tanks), forming a capable combat group with very strong penetration power. Not only that, at least 18 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers, 18 D-30 towed howitzers, 6 BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launchers and many other weapons can be seen moving with the railway to the front line.

At the moment, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has not made any official comment on the arrival of its elite 95th Airborne Brigade as well as many mechanized units in the Gorlovka region

However, sources also said that there were many shootings in the frontline area in a similar direction. This indicates an attempt to infiltrate the territory of the LPR by commandos and reconnaissance groups of the Ukrainian Army.
