Ukraine’s armed forces began large-scale battles in the Donbass this morning.
Regular shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territories of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, escalated into large-scale clashes between the Ukrainian army and the self-defense forces of the self-proclaimed republics. This was stated by the former official representative of the People’s Militia of the LPR Andrei Marochko.
“Right now there is a battle on Mikhailovka (Zolotoe-5). The enemy uses heavy [weapons] … All to the shelter, ”it was reported.
To date, in the area where the borders of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics are located, according to sources there are more than two hundred tanks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed in Donbass, more than 50 units of field artillery, rocket artillery and tactical missile weapons, which indicates that Kiev is ready to start an offensive operation at any time.
The actual shelling of the territories of the DPR and LPR will continue for more than a week, while the intensity of the fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continues to increase every day, although the targets at which they are firing are not named.
According to various estimates, a full-scale military operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces may begin at the end of this week or next week.
